We totally stole a car... #1

Sorry, Ethan
Little Ethan Loy, two-year-old son of our lovely friends Effie and Paul, left an orange toy car at our flat when they last came to visit. (Strictly speaking he left it at our downstairs neighbour's flat, because he dropped it off my balcony.) The car was Made In Thailand, so I thought it might be fun to take it back to Asia for a visit - so chucked it in my backpack before we set off. (It was that or going into storage in a warehouse, and where's the fun in that?)

So here's a photo of Ethan's Orange Car, receiving a disapproving glare from Lenin's giant head in Ulan Ude. More photos to follow, as the car continues its 10,000 mile return leg.

Effie - it's entirely possible that if Ethan sees this picture, he will want his car back, and cry, and hate us. So feel free to save these photos for when he's old enough to appreciate his car's journey. Love to you, Paul and most especially Ethan - we're really sorry for stealing his car. We'll bring it back, I promise.
